A 3D artist is the most in-demand profession in gaming. He can create any game model, draw textures and adjust animations. He can work independently, or he can easily fit into a large or small development team.
Who is suitable for training:
- Those who can’t model at all, but have long wanted to learn and make it their profession.
- Those who can model, but want to improve their skills and earn more from it.
- Those who create 3D for websites, advertising or design projects and want to move to a more creative and money-making sphere.
The goal is to help you break into gamdev straight into a midle position. You will master the 3D-artist profession from scratch and get all the key skills to work in the studio or on a freelance basis. You will learn how to model using the correct algorithm.
You will understand how to create realistic textures. You will animate models. And at the end you will create an impressive portfolio of 20+ artworks. For the most persistent students we will help you to find a job right after or even during the training.
Training plan:
3D modeling
You’ll understand Pipeline and learn how to work with references. We’ll discuss topology, High-Poly and Low-Poly models, and UV scanning and fusing in Marmoset Toolbag.
Textures
We’ll explore the Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marmoset, and Unreal Engine 4 interfaces. By the end of the block you’ll have all the basic skills to work in these programs. Plus you’ll learn how to make the texture of your character’s skin, mouth, nails, eyebrows, and eyes.
3D Animation[ 3 months ]You’ll understand how to make a clear, attractive drawing with crisp poses that conveys your character’s character. We’ll plan attack and death animations, and look at the differences between female and male gait. By the end of the unit, you’ll have learned how to stylize movements, such as jogging, jumping, or rolling.
